My life in South Africa started in November 2006 when we found today's Apricot Garden's Guesthouse.

It was an intensive, interesting and exciting time to build it up to a well known 4**** guesthouse, both in Switzerland (golfing holidays) and in the area. Its doors still open to guests every summer season.

For eight years I was in joint ownership and loved to welcome and spoil guests every season, many coming back again and again.

In May 15 the time had come to retire from the guesthouse and concentrate on garden and olives on the neighbouring plot full time. Enjoying the absolute quiet for a year I started missing the travellers and decided to have the garden room renovated so that guests could feel at home in my little oasis.

If I'm not found working between my olive trees, then I'm either on Table Mountain, in Stellenbosch, Kleinmond or Namibia. I love hiking through (nearly) unspoilt nature, watching animals and generally the peace and quiet.

My dream is to invite guests to share "my" South Africa on my little olive farm or on a hike in the the area.
